TBBTA believes that complete and intimate knowledge of the travel industry is crucial to the success of our members. To support this initiative, we are pleased to provide an opportunity to have up to 10 TBBTA members attend the Day of Education/CCTE sponsored by the Florida Business Travel Association on Friday, June 11, 2010 in Hollywood, Florida. TBBTA will cover the registration fee for the daylong event, members will be responsible for related travel expenses. For information on the Day of Education, please visit FBTA’s website, http://www.fbta.org/events/ to learn more. We hope you will take advantage of this educational opportunity in addition to networking with members of other Florida BTA chapters.
All applicants must be an active (paid) member of Tampa Bay Business Travel Association to be considered for the scholarship and must submit a completed Professional Development Scholarship Application to the Scholarship Committee by May 17, 2010. The application is attached and should be submitted via email to the email address indicated below. The Board Members of TTBTA will review the applications and select the scholarship grant recipient(s) by May 20, 2010. April Meeting - Jay Campbell ProMedia Travel
| Please join us at Maggiano's, Little Italy at Westshore Plaza, for our monthly luncheon, Tuesday, April 13. Tampa Bay BTA is pleased to announce our speaker, Jay Campbell with ProMedia Travel and founder of Business Travel Beat, Inc.
Jay founded Business Travel Beat, Inc. in August 2004. ProMedia.travel continues to publish The Beat, a subscription-supported travel business newsletter. Jay has covered the travel industry for fifteen years including roles as executive editor and columnist with BTN and a division of Reuters. Jay is a prolific writer and leading industry commentator and will be discussing the most up to date issues about our industry. When was the last time you read his blog, the news you don't find anywhere else and the view of both an advocate and consumer. Refreshing!
